On the walls of Further Polycontemporary Gallery is now the series I've been working on over the last three years, FRONTIERS. Of course, it's been three years of photographic work, but the series itself has been incubating in my mind and body for years. To be standing in the gallery last night, surrounded by all my images was very moving. Of course I know what the work is about, but it felt like I was swimming in the experiences that my photographs represent. I was taken back on past journeys and reminded of moments lived and motivated to keep the journey going. I never realized until last night, just how alive those images are. They may be prints on paper, but there is something about the texture and the transparency of the walls that makes each one so alive. And, the space is perfect for my work!
